This session will help participants…

  1. introduce the perspective of graduate students who participated in a hierarchical supervision experience at a university school psychology training program.
  2. experience the benefits of structured supervision training in school psychology training programs.
  3. be exposed to practice and supervision skills that can be learned by graduate students through a hierarchical supervision model.
  4. learn how hierarchical supervision fits into multiple aspects of the NASP Practice Model and NASP strategic goals.
  5. learn the benefits of a hierarchical supervision model for supporting and retaining minoritized graduate students.

Description

This session will introduce a model of hierarchical supervision within a graduate program and its specific impact on students from minoritized backgrounds by including the perspective of graduate students.
