Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand patterns in how students with learning disabilities think about cyberbullying and bystander intervention;
  2. identify differences in students' thinking about bystander intervention based on cyberbullying context and student characteristics; and
  3. apply understanding of students' thinking to plan for effective digital literacy on bystander intervention and cyberbullying.

Description

Youth are increasingly confronting dilemmas about how, if at all, to intervene when witnessing cyberbullying. Learn how to promote contextually and developmentally appropriate digital literacy with students with learning disabilities.
