This session will help participants…

  1. increase knowledge of parental incarceration and how it affects our students;
  2. understand and consider the diverse needs of children of incarcerated parents; and
  3. discuss how to modify existing interventions to better fit the needs of children of incarcerated parents.

Description

Participants will learn about the diverse needs of children of incarcerated parents and discuss a potential intervention for decreasing externalizing behavior, increasing well-being, and increasing academic engagement for this population.
