  4. examine the impact of neighborhood characteristics, school quality, peer influences, and community resources on academic performance, with the objective of identifying the specific environmental factors that hinder or support educational success for African American boys; and
  5. identify evidence-based interventions, policy changes, and community initiatives that can help address the identified disparities in order to provide actionable insights to stakeholders, policy makers, and educators to promote equality and improve educational outcomes.
