This session will help participants…

  1. learn about a multi-informant, brief rating scale, the COSS, designed to assess organization, time management, and planning skills in children;
  2. learn the role of assessment in evaluating outcomes for organizational skills training interventions in schools; and
  3. learn the recent psychometric developments in the COSS Teacher and Parent, including structural, convergent and diagnostic validity analyses.

Description

Understanding practical executive function deficits in students with challenges is critical in service provision. Analysis of an established measure shows great promise in adding to the school psychologist’s toolbox.
