Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. identify best practices for animal-assisted interventions (AAI);
  2. describe how animal-assisted interventions can be implemented within the NASP Practice Model; and
  3. analyze AAI programs focused on social–emotional learning (SEL) for strengths and weaknesses.

Description

Best practices for animal-assisted interventions (AAI) will be explored. Participants will learn about SEL programs that incorporate animals and gain access to a resource bank for future use.
