Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the nature and role of the “Circles of Interest” career development program in Cuban education;
  2. determine how this program impacted the career choices of a group of Cuban undergraduate students; and
  3. understand a novel approach to postsecondary career readiness with implications for U.S. secondary education.

Description

This study examines Cuban students’ perceptions of skills and knowledge gained from a unique career-readiness program in Cuban primary and secondary schools. This will inform school psychologists’ career development programming.
