Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. review the seven most common blood, cardiovascular, and circulatory system disorders that affect students;
  2. learn the data-based methods that train school personnel (highlighting the role of the school psychologist) on the best practices to support these students; and
  3. learn to effectively collaborate with families and healthcare providers to support students with BCCS disorders at school in an integrative behavioral health framework.

Description

This poster details the effect blood, cardiovascular, and circulatory diseases have on students and the academic, communication, physical, and social–emotional support systems needed for their academic success.
