  1. explain the rationale for proactive group-based skill building interventions to efficiently meet student needs within a multitiered system of support;
  2. describe and apply strategies to maximize student engagement in small-group interventions; and
  3. apply a framework to efficiently address challenges related to student engagement aligned with an ecological model focused on the leader, the group context, and individual students.
