  2. identify challenges that practitioners encounter when delivering psychoeducational assessment feedback to the families of students with intellectual disabilities.
  3. critically evaluate models of disability to align and inform family–school partnerships with professional values.

Description

For families of students with intellectual disability (ID), assessment feedback triggers feelings of grief and stigma. Through vignettes, role-play, and multimodal techniques, learn feedback strategies to promote positive family–school partnerships. This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee.
