- understand how conduct a threat assessment using strategies that increase equity while decreasing bias and disproportionality; and
- understand the clear distinction between threat assessment and special education policies and procedures while understanding the complementary aspects.
Description
This workshop will share experiences with countering bias, equity, and disproportionality; the relationship of behavioral threat assessment and management to special education procedures; lessons learned from court cases and service as an expert witness; and engagement in multiple state-wide BTAM implementation projects.
