Stephen P. Kilgus, PhD, isan Associate Professor in the School Psychology Program at the University ofMissouri. His primary research interest is in the area of school mentalhealth, with a focus on social–emotional and behavioral intervention andassessment. Dr. Kilgus currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of School Psychology. In2016, he received the Lightner Witmer Award for early career scholarship fromDivision 16 of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Kilgus recentlyreceived a $1.4 million grant from the Institute of Education Sciences(IES) to validate a suite of brief measures that can be used in designingindividualized interventions for at-risk students.
