Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. identify the overall diagnostic accuracy associated with fall and winter aimswebPlus Spanish reading scores for predicting student proficiency on a statewide assessment of reading in Spanish.
  2. identify the classification accuracy obtained in this district when the national 35th percentile used as a cut-score on the fall and winter aimswebPlus Spanish reading scores.
  3. explain the utility of aimswebPlus Spanish reading scores for predicting risk on statewide assessments of reading in Spanish to other stakeholders in their school/district.

Description

We evaluated the classification accuracy of the aimswebPlus Spanish CBM for predicting proficiency on a statewide assessment of Spanish language arts. We used data collected from 296 students enrolled in grades 3 through 5 in a midsized city district. Attendees will learn about the predictive validity and classification accuracy of the aimswebPlus Spanish CBM measures in this sample.
